Benefit of Remedial Massage
Muscular Recovery and Pain Management
The main benefit of remedial massage is that it helps speed up your body own recovery process. It can ease pain associated with acute injuries and relieve long-standing chronic pain conditions.
By using various remedial massage techniques, I aim to effectively release and deactivate tight muscular trigger points thereby eliminating muscular pain & stiffness and reduce the strain on the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
Improving Flexibility & Range of Movement
Your remedial massage therapist will use gentle mobilisation and stretching techniques to improve circulation, release stiff muscles, and ease tensions.
By working on your joint muscles, connective tissues, tendons, and ligaments, I will increase your flexibility and range of motion reducing significantly the risk of injury.
I may ask you to perform various stretching and corrective exercises in order to increase your range of movement.
Lowers Stress and Anxiety
Remedial massage can aid in lowering stress levels fatigue and anxiety
Bringing your focus to your body, implementing breathing techniques and taking the time for yourself can all help the combat the effects of stress.
Remedial massage can trigger the body to release hormones such as dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin which help in lowering emotional and physical stress.

Remedial massage allows you to get a better quality of sleep by reducing pain and promoting the release of relaxation hormones.
This will also improves mental focus and concentration and enables you to think clearer, make better decisions, and become more productive.
Injury Prevention

Rehabilitation
Depending on the severity and underlying cause of the pain, an injury doesn’t heal overnight.
Correct assessment and treatment of muscular injury will accelerate the healing process by allowing a better flow of nutrient-enriched blood and expelling waste.
Postural Correction

Remedial Massage Process
1- Assesment
The first consultation will require you to fill out a health questionnaire, which is then discussed further.
At the beginning of each session, we will ask you a few questions to understand your story, the pain you are experiencing and your expectation
A physical assessment will then be performed to understand your health condition, symptoms, range of motion and find the root cause of your pain across your muscles, connective tissues, ligament, and tendons.
With your help, this assessment will allow your therapist to better target the cause of the pain and help you out of it.
2- Bespoke Treatment
After the initial consultation, your remedial therapist will discuss the treatment plan that is always specific to you.
We don’t have a routine that we apply to every single client and we tailor our treatment specifically to you using a wide range of advanced technics.
Unlike normal massage, our treatment relies on constant communication between you and your therapist and you may be asked to participate in active movements or change positions several times.
Our goal is to get you out of pain ASAP and while most of the time you will feel instant relief, it is possible in some cases that you feel tender afterwards and sometines for a number of days. For optimum results, we work in depth and your body needs to accustom itself to the treatment and stimulations it receives.
3- Tailored Treatment Plan and support
After each session, you will be able to debrief and discuss your treatment plan to make sure you are informed with the progress and your remedial massage therapist will answer your questions.
Our common goal is to keep you out of pain and we encourage you to be proactive in your treatment. Your remedial therapist will offer expert advice on how you can facilitate your recovery and may suggest exercises or stretches to perform at home between sessions. By following these guidelines the pain will disapear over time. You will feel empowered and your body will flow and move better.
Do not hesitate to reach out for any inquires, we are here to help!
4- Payment and Re-Booking
Rebates are available via HICAPS for most private insurances, so you can claim your treatment on the spot.

Remedial massage Techniques
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage targets superficial and deep layers of the muscles and the connective tissues to ease pain and restore movement.
It can temporarily produce discomfort or pain and patients typically describe this as “good pain”.
The results produce long-lasting relief of pain and tension, improved blood circulation and increased range of movement.
Trigger Point therapy
Trigger points can arise in muscles as a result of overactivity, muscle imbalance or lack of exercise.
For the treatment of pain, the remedial therapists work on the trigger points found in muscles to relieve pain and bring health back into the muscles.
Sport Massage
Sports Massage is designed to help athletes by preparing their bodies for optimal performance. It will also assist with recovery after big events
It employs strong manual techniques as well as compression, trigger point, and stretching and helps alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity by draining away fatigue, reducing swelling, decreasing muscle tension, and promoting flexibility, and therefore preventing injuries.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
The Lymphatic system is our front line of defense to fight infections, detox the body and remove wastes, excess water, bacteria, and toxins out of the body. A Manual Lymph Drainage is a series of precise, gentle, and rhythmic massage techniques designed to stimulate and accelerate the lymphatic system’s natural healing ability. It activates the body‘s drainage system in which excess fluids and impurities are removed from the tissues and ultimately removed by the kidneys. With this treatment, you can look forward to pain relief, accelerated reduction in swelling, elimination of bruising at a faster rate, alleviation of numbness, and prevention of scar tissue formation.
Headache Relief Massage
Our Headache Relief Massage has been specially designed for people who struggle with headaches, migraines, sinus pressure, and jaw/TMJ pain. This treatment focuses on soothing tension in the head, neck and face to bring you the comfort and relaxation you deserve!
